When I first received this product, I wasn't very impressed. The packaging was very plain and didn't jump out at me like other shampoos and conditioners do. However, I was reading about it and it said it is recommended by salon- professionals. When I think of that, I think of getting my hair done at a salon, and walking out with nice, shiny and healthy feeling hair. So I got excited. So excited, in fact, that I used it the very day I received it. I was extremely surprised by the outcome.
As I was using the shampoo, I did notice that it was a bit runny. So runny, in fact, that it poured right out of the bottle. Be careful with that! You wouldn't want to waste product. As I was washing my hair with it, it felt like my hair was very dry. I have dry hair as it is, so I was worried it was going to dry my hair even more. So I rinsed the product out after scrubbing my scalp with it for about 2 minutes, which the recommended time is 1-3 minutes. Then I put in the conditioner. It didn't feel like the conditioner was very conditioning. Normally, you get that soft, moisturizing feeling when you have conditioner in your hair. This product felt the exact opposite. I let it sit in my hair for around 3-5 minutes and I was surprised that my hair began to feel more moisturized over time. So by the time I rinsed it out, my hair was actually very soft. I let my hair air dry on it's own, and by that time I noticed how clean and healthy my hair started to look. All of my dandruff was gone, which I had been struggling with dandruff for a good 5 1/2 months. My scalp wasn't itchy at all, and my hair felt feather light. I have thick hair so normally my hair is pretty heavy. I also noticed I had tons more volume and body to my hair than usual. I suffer from flat hair syndrome (if that's a thing) But this completely lifted my roots, and gave me so much volume. I was ecstatic with the results. I would never guessed it would work this good, especially with how the shampoo and conditioner felt as I was using it.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product. Aside from the feel and look of the product, I love this shampoo and conditioner. It made my hair so much more healthier which is exactly what I look for in hair care items. It definitely did not disappoint, it actually surprised me, in a good way. It has a smell, but it's very faint. It isn't perfumey but it doesn't smell bad either, which I really love. I will most definitely purchase this item in the future. It is worth the cost!
